Culturally Responsive Resources
Support for Homeless and Low-Income Families
The Homeless Prenatal Program is a nationally-recognized family resource center in San Francisco that empowers homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives. We serve over 3,500 low-income and homeless families annually, providing a variety of programs and services to help families become healthy, stable and self-sufficient.
Support Medical Services
The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) provides a wide range of culturally competent services to Medi-Cal pregnant women, from conception through 60 days postpartum. In addition to standard obstetric services, women receive enhanced services in the areas of nutrition, psychosocial and health education.
Support for Black Birthers
The Alameda County Perinatal Equity Initiative (PEI) aims to dismantle the unjust systems and practices that are robbing Black birthing people and babies of their futures.
Centering Black families in the work we do means equity, safety and health for everyone.
The PEI in Alameda County consists of interventions designed to reach pregnant and post-partum African American birthing people in the county, regardless of socio-economic status or city of residence.
Support for Pacific Islander Birthers
This program is for Pacific Islander pregnant women and teens, at no cost. We serve both women and fathers.

-
Provide bus vouchers if needed
-
Help with enrollment in health insurance for all Pacific Islanders in Alameda County
Nurse Support
Pregnant and postpartum women who live in San Francisco are eligible for one of our two programs. We encourage moms to enroll as early in pregnancy as possible to get an early start on a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.
Our nurses speak multiple languages and can use interpreter services.
Maternal Care made by Birthing People, For Birthing People
Collaborative care
The current system makes you choose between a midwife and an OB-GYN. We believe in the power of both. At Millie, everyone has a midwife and an OB-GYN to oversee care.
1:1 doula education
Every trimester, your dedicated guide (who is also a practicing doula) will walk you through important topics like creating birth and postpartum preference plans.
Remote health monitoring
No more googling symptoms or “is this normal?” Digital health checks and at-home monitoring tools promote early detection of complications to give you more peace of mind.
There for you through the first year
New parenthood can bring up a lot of questions. Get answers through the first year with access to your care team, expert consults, in-app curriculum, and a peer community.
AND MORE
Community Based Doulas
We are a group of Latinx doulas with a commitment to our community, helping from the heart and showing the entire community that there are people who believe in human love and that we care about the situation they are in.
Our goal is to serve our low income community with respect and culture, helping with prenatal and child development education both virtually and in person. We celebrate baby showers for new mothers who do not have the resources to honor their pregnancy in this way. As professional doulas we offer support throughout the pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum stages with due respect for culture, race, religion, gender and beliefs.
Community Based Doulas
Semilla Sagrada is a direct service program created by Latinx doulas of different nationalities to support Latinx families and birthworkers in San Francisco.
Community Based Doulas
EMBRACE is a clinical program developed to give Black mothers and Black pregnant people an opportunity to receive prenatal care from an intentional angle of racial consciousness.
EMBRACE asserts a deliberate and unapologetic stance around holding Black mothers, Black pregnant people and their families with a model of care where social and economic factors that affect their health can be identified and addressed.
