Community Doula

I am so excited you are here! I am Stacy Avalos, a local bay area doula, newborn care specialist and perinatal mental health provider. I provide support in-person and online for all postpartum needs. I am very passionate about revolutionizing how we as a society view the “Postpartum Period” and I am on a mission to educate the world to understand that POSTPARTUM IS NOT DEPRESSION; it is a time period with a beginning and an end. Postpartum, unlike postpartum depression, has a definite period. Unfortunately, perinatal mental health symptoms are unpredictable and we do not always know when symptoms will begin or end, but we do know for certain that postpartum begins once you have birthed your baby/ies and your placenta.

Maternal Care made by Birthing People, For Birthing People

Collaborative care
The current system makes you choose between a midwife and an OB-GYN. We believe in the power of both. At Millie, everyone has a midwife and an OB-GYN to oversee care.

1:1 doula education
Every trimester, your dedicated guide (who is also a practicing doula) will walk you through important topics like creating birth and postpartum preference plans.

Remote health monitoring
No more googling symptoms or “is this normal?” Digital health checks and at-home monitoring tools promote early detection of complications to give you more peace of mind.

There for you through the first year
New parenthood can bring up a lot of questions. Get answers through the first year with access to your care team, expert consults, in-app curriculum, and a peer community.
